Wedding & Reception Sites in Central Indiana:
Allison Mansion. Very nice! An elegant, old, romantic locale for a reception on the campus of Marian College.
Benjamin Harrison Home. Nice for a small outdoor weddings. Downtown.
Capitol Building. We’ve done numerous weddings in the Capitol building rotunda. No info on the website, but you can probably find a phone number to call. Downtown.
Eagle Creek park. There’s a place called Eagle’s Hideaway in the park—very nice for small outdoor weddings. Don’t see it listed on the website but you could call.
Eiteljorg Museum. Go to 'general info' and then look under 'renting museum facilities' for more information. Downtown.
Fort Harrison Park and the Garrison Ballroom. This is a fairly new locale, and we have never done a wedding here. But I've been there, and the site looks beautiful. There are several great locations for an outdoor wedding, and the ballroom looks wonderful. Prices are affordable, especially on off days, such as Fridays or Sundays. Eastside.
Fountain Square Theatre. We’ve done both weddings and receptions here, and it's nice! Downtown Indy.
Garfield Park. A great value and very pretty! Southside.
Indiana Historical Society. A great place for a wedding and reception! One of my favorites for both weddings and receptions. Has a grand staircase for the wedding, and a nice cafe type area on the Canal Walk for receptions. Downtown.
Indianapolis Art Center (formerly the Art League) This has a beautiful site for an outdoor wedding, and they have a room you can use in case of rain. Central/north side.
The Indianapolis Museum of Art. Go to 'information desk' and then see the toolbar on the top—click on 'facilities'. Unbelievably beautiful sites for outdoor weddings. My personal favorite is the formal gardens. Central Indy.
The Indianapolis Propylaeum (no website available) (317) 638-7881 Nice for weddings and receptions. Downtown.
The Indianapolis Zoo. Various, beautiful locales. We once played for a reception in the aquarium which was really cool. Downtown.
Meyers Castle - offers a large banquet area for wedding receptions, parties, and corporate meetings. They also host wedding ceremonies. In-house catering, florist, bakery, and DJ. Northern Indiana, near Chicago.
Oakhill Mansion. A great facility on the far north side for weddings or receptions.
The Omni Severin. We enjoy working with the wonderful staff at the Omni Severin, and they have a beautiful site for weddings. The balcony is a perfect location for the quartet--our music soars into the ballroom's lovely acoustics.
St. Luke’s United Methodist Church. This is my family's home church now. It has wonderful facilities for weddings. It’s much less expensive for members to marry there than for non-members. North side.
The St. Vincent Marten House Hotel. A very good value, VERY nice, though not spectacularly beautiful or quaint like some of the other locales. North side.
Stone Soup Inn. We’ve done a small outdoor wedding here. It also looks like a really neat place for the wedding night, or even a small, in-town honeymoon. Take a look at their rooms on the website! Downtown.
Union Chapel United Methodist Church. This was where my husband and I were married. A very cute little church in a convenient location, and relatively inexpensive. North side.
White River Garden. Beautiful locale for wedding with incredible flowers and gardens. Downtown.
